Tatjana Irbis was born in Omsk Siberia in 1956. Her early education focused on the visual arts. She showed talent and had early successes with exhibitions in New Delhi, India and Omsk, Siberia. Her interest then changed to the theater. She studied set design and costume for six years in Penza and Moscow. She later worked in the theater designing the stage and costumes for more than 40 major plays. After the break up of the Soviet Union her attention returned to the visual arts and painting. She has developed a truly personal Russian Romantic style where her daughters, her self, her mother, and lovers make up many of the characters in her paintings. She is now happily married and painting in the heart of Europe, Prague, Czech Republic.
